Hey, I am a succulent man myself. They have smaller bags of perlite and other quick drainage medium at the Lowes in Waikele. I like cinders, but I prefer perlite. When I use cinders I try to make it a mix of 1/3 part each cinder, sand (or perlite) and soil. Works well.
